To discuss the situation in Ladakh, top military leadership of China and India at Lt General level held meeting in Moldo on the Chinese side.
Indian delegation was led by 14 Corps Commander, Lt Gen Harinder Singh while the Chinese side was headed by commander of South Xinjiang Military Region of PLA, Major General Liu Lin. India sought restoration of status quo as on April 2020 and also discussed to reduce Chinese mobilization near the Galwan valley.
No official statement has been released. But sources claim that the Talks were unsuccessful and China refused to go back from ladakh or leave the territory under its control. It is expected that more rounds of Talks will be held in coming days to end the dead lock.
A large number of Chinese troops are currently deployed in the area of the Pangong Tso (Lake)
In the mean time movement of Indian army artillery has been noted towards ladakh
